FileLever for Mac

FileLever is a preview-first macOS app that protects important files, photos, and projects. Keep folders and backups in sync, archive older Apple Photos and iCloud Photos to a checked local or external copy, then review exact duplicates and large files before freeing space. Windows and Linux are planned for later.

• Folder Sync: compare folders, preview differences, and copy only new or changed files to keep a backup current.
• Mirror Mode: an explicit, previewed option for making a target match its source, including target-only removals only after confirmation.
• Photo Archive: archive older Apple Photos and iCloud Photos to a local folder or external drive; check completed copies before any optional, separately confirmed move to Recently Deleted.
• Duplicate File Finder: find exact duplicates by file contents, choose the copy to keep, and remove extras only after review.
• Large File Reviewer: find storage-heavy files, then delete, move, or archive them after review.

Back up photos, videos, projects, and document folders to an external drive, NAS, Dropbox, or a Google Drive folder already synced locally. Archive older Apple Photos and iCloud Photos before freeing Mac or iCloud storage. Compare two folders before updating a backup or using mirror mode. Keep creator exports, media libraries, and project archives current without blindly overwriting backup-only files. Clear confirmed duplicate files and large files only after a recovery copy is current.
